When it comes to plus-size fashion, brands are far from created equal. Some still don’t offer plus-size options at all, even though the average American woman is between sizes 16 and 18. Other department stores start plus-size lines that suddenly disappear. And some just don’t seem to be hiring the same designers for larger sizes as they have for their other sections because their plus-size lines aren’t always as cute.

But some brands have the right idea in mind. These labels understand fashion and do it at the right price and for a greater array of sizes. So whether you’re at the mall or shopping online, these are the brands that are doing their thing in 2016 that you should check out.
