It’s been exactly three months since Kobe Bryant played his last game in the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers. And while many people were wondering what he would do with his time now that he wouldn’t be playing basketball day in and day out, based on the fact that Kobe and his wife Vanessa are expecting their third child, we can pretty much come up with an idea of how they started spending their increased time together well before that last game. If you know what I’m saying.
Both Kobe and Vanessa took to social media to share the news that not only are they having another child, but they’re also having another girl. That makes three little ladies:
Congratulations to the couple, who’ve been married for 15 years, on the newest addition to their family! After 20 years in the NBA, it looks like it’s time for Kobe to play the stay-at-home dad role.
The Bryants are already parents to 10-year-old Gianna and 13-year-old Natalia. But with another girl in the house, Kobe will likely become even more protective when it comes to their dating prospects for the future. As he told The Insider last year about trying to get his mind right as his eldest daughter enters her teen years, “That’s when you wish you can just freeze time and just not go through that period.” He continued, “What age can she start dating? When she’s married. We still don’t know what came first, the chicken or the egg right? I mean, she can date when she’s married. I’m going to arrange it, it’s just going to be when she’s married, which by definition means she can’t date.”
