Mantras and Meditations to Help You Relax, Relate, Release
Here’s an exercise that includes my favorite thing: food. It can actually help you LOSE weight. First, try eating only what’s relatively healthy and minimally processed. Second, sit the food in front of you (turn off the television) and experience the texture, taste and satisfaction of every bite. Mindfulness during eating is the exact opposite of “mindless” eating, which a lot of us do. We eat the food because it’s there. We eat the food until it’s gone. Mindful eating means you are conscious of your hunger, savor the food, and are aware when you feel full. Not only will you be satisfied, but you’ll know you’re full before you’re 750 calories over your daily limit. BAM! You just decreased your odds for obesity in one sitting.
