Colombia’s Residencia Kiss Me (Kiss Me Motel) allows traveling couples — or strangers — to make their wildest (and) strangest fantasies come true. Located in Cali, Colombia, Residencia Kiss Me offers lodgers a series of rooms crafted like Russian Igloos with 50 Shades Of Gray themes.
If occupants desire to turn up the bedroom heat even more, they can order room service that includes food, cocktails and sex toys. Italian Photographer Francesco Giusti, who travels the world taking photos of eclectic motels, told CNN although he didn’t lodge in the space for sexual purposes, he photographed its compelling interior design and revealed why love motels like Residencia Kiss Me are becoming popular in Latin America and even Asia.
“[In Colombia], young people live with their parents into their late 20s, so there is a need for places you can go spend the night with your partner without your parents in the next room, ” he said. Aside from serving millennials, Giusti says that he has observed married couples of all ages use the facility to reignite long-lost sparks. And as theatrical and X-rated as they sound, many love motels are really just family-owned businesses. For example, the daughter of the owner of the Kiss Me Hotel often comes up with the elaborate themes drawing clientele to their motel for hours at a time or even a whole night.
