1 In 5 Men Say They’ve Never Been In Love
Have you ever been in love? If the answer is no, just know that you’re not alone. According to Women’s Health, Match.com’s Single in America Study, which examines the dating habits and romantic attitudes of 5,000 men and women, found that 18 percent of women say that they’ve never been in love. Interestingly, 20 percent of men who participated in the study say that they’ve never been in love either.
While I do believe that there are some who may have never experienced the love bug, there are some of us who choose to be in denial once a relationship is over and because it didn’t work out, we convince ourselves that it was never really love in the first place. So I’m interested in seeing how many of those who say they’ve never been in love at least thought they were in love at some point in their lives.
Researchers found that on average, men tend to fall in love 3.7 times in his life, while the average woman only falls in love 2.9 times.
Ironically, 59 percent of men who filled out the survey admitted that they believe in love at first sight and 41 percent claim to have experienced this phenomenon at least once in their lives.
