Most women I know tell me that they felt most confident after hitting their thirties. And now, a new survey conducted by British department store House of Fraser seems to confirm this.
According to the Daily Mail, a study of 2,000 women revealed that they feel more attractive after thirty. Apparently, this is partially due the confidence that frequently comes with age. 64 percent of respondents credited age for this newfound confidence. In addition to that, 34 percent of participants reported feeling more attractive because they were in a better relationship.
Interestingly, this confidence also carried over into the bedroom. 26 percent of women said that they felt bolder in the bedroom, and 1 out of 10 reported a boost in sex drive. As for sexy triggers, women reported feeling more desirable after being complimented by a romantic partner, receiving a compliment from a stranger, purchasing sexy underwear, losing weight, wearing a new outfit, and getting a new hairstyle.
Generally speaking, 52 percent of the women surveyed said that they felt sexy sometimes, and women reported feeling their sexiest at age 34.
“It’s great to see from the results of our research that so many women feel confident and sexy whatever their age. However, it is interesting that 34 is the age we feel at the pinnacle of our sexual confidence,” said a spokesperson for House of Fraser. “The results have shown that modern women don’t need men to make them feel attractive and sexy and that they feel more confident surrounded by other women and fabulous style.”
