5. Pick your battles

Yes there will be arguments and intense discussions but sometimes–no most times– an argument is not going to make the situation better. Before you decide to add your two cents, check somebody or shut someone down, make sure that you’re saying something that you’re passionate about. If you’re talking just to be talking or just because you feel like someone else might be attacking you, take a couple of minutes to make sure you’re right before you add to the inevitable drama.
