Folks were mighty busy last week.
Earlier today, we told you that “Empire” stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers tied the knot on Thursday. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend weren’t short on excitement either. According to People, Chrissy gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Thursday, April 14. They named her Luna Simone.
“She’s here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy,” Chrissy announced on Instagram Sunday.
In the past, Chrissy opened up about facing fertility issues. She couldn’t really understand why she was struggling to conceive.
“The big question was why this wasn’t working for us when I was young, and he was healthy,” she told Self magazine. “I thought, people get pregnant by accident all the time! How does this happen?”
The couple eventually turned to IVF, which also came with its share of challenges.
“Emotionally, it could be really hard,” she said. “When you have these high-highs and low-lows, and you’re, like, cuckoo pants.”
“You don’t want to get your hopes up, but of course, you do,” she continued.
Thankfully, the supermodel had a healthy pregnancy, and now, she has a beautiful baby girl.
Congrats to John and Chrissy!
