If designer nail polish isn’t your steez, Chanel may have just changed your outlook on shelling out $28 for a 0.4 oz bottle of their fine nail varnish.
Stepping into the 21st century where long-wear and gel polishes have become commonplace, the french brand has decided to get in on the formula that has gone from trend to staple. According to Pop Sugar, Chanel is releasing a new reformulated version of their signature Chanel Le Vernis lacquers.
So, what all is new? You can expect 16 beautiful shades that include their five bestselling hues (Ballerina, Particuliere, Vamp, Pirate, and Rouge Noir) and a new topcoat (Le Gel) that promises to deliver a shiny manicure without chips for streaks for seven days. And the epic proportions of this launch doesn’t stop there. The polishes are also 5-free formula (without the 3 common chemicals found in polishes) and contain ceramides to maintain the health of your natural nails.
“I love that the new formula not only lasts longer, but that it actually helps to repair the condition of your natural nails,” celebrity manicurist and Chanel ambassador Ashlie Johnson told Pop Sugar. “My nails feel more protected and conditioned when wearing it; the thicker formula is more durable and super shiny.”
Although you’ll have to wait until March for the new formula to make its debut, Chanel already has a pre-order available for the highly-anticipated formula. Click here to take a first look at all 16 new colors.
