Would You Ditch a Friend of the Opposite Sex if Your Partner Asked You To?

Take into Consideration Who You’ve Known Longer

Sticky situation right? Whether you give up a homie for a lover probably will depend on how long you’ve known both parties. Someone you befriended after your relationship started might be easier to let go of if you must, but it will still hurt to do nonetheless. And it’ll especially hurt your reputation since I’m sure that jolted friend will probably tell the world about the dirty way you did them. But a good friend, even of the opposite sex, that’s watched men come and go in your life before and tried not to judge them to make you happy deserves a lot more from you than a random text saying you can’t be cool anymore. Or even worse, the ignored phone calls and zero responses to their messages. You might like or even love your mate a lot, but a controlling relationship can turn into a scene from Misery with the quickness. Remember that cliche saying, “friends are forever”? Well, it’s true when it comes to the good ones, no matter the gender.

So what would you do if your partner asked you to drop a good friend of the opposite sex? Have you ever had this happen to you?
