Trey Songz Pens Heartfelt Letter To Fans & Surprises With ‘To Whom It May Concern’ Mixtape

If you didn’t already know, today (Nov.28) the R&B crooner turned 31 and instead of kicking back and celebrating his big day, he’s extended the love to his fans and gifted them with a surprise mixtape titled To Whom It May Concern.
Hosted by the infamous mixtape DJ, DJ Drama, the 12-track project boasts of hard hitting production credits from DJ Mustard, Rico Love, Mano and more, anchored by his affinity for club bangers and baby making music.
In addition to the unexpected release, Songz penned a touching letter to his fans via Billboard, sharing intimate details of the project and explaining that the mixtape is an honest reflection of his life and reality beyond the the bright lights and fame.
“My music is sometimes categorized as a song, single, stream, download, mixtape or album, but it’s really the soundtrack to my life,” he writes. “Every lyric is a reflection of where I am within a specific emotion. I’m going through some sh*t like we all are. I look in the mirror and I judge myself like we all do. I want to make it to the better version of myself.”
“My brightest days and my darkest hours come through in my music,” he continued. “This letter could be a lot longer but I just put it in the songs. I give you my love, my confusion, my worries, my happiness, my sadness, my music.”
