7 Ways To Decorate Your Own Glamorous Thanksgiving Table

November 23, 2015  |

I have been looking long and hard for a Thanksgiving design that is unique and kinda unexpected. Sure, I will have things like the turkey, sides and desserts on the table but a girl’s got to step up her decorating game from time to time – especially when you’re hosting a gathering. I want to take my table a bit over the top with something that is too glamorous for words. Hopefully my husband won’t have any issues but I suspect he won’t so long as he is stuffing his face. Should you want to channel your inner diva this Thanksgiving holiday, here are some ideas for your glamorous Thanksgiving table.

Add gold

When it comes to a glamorous table, gold is not negotiable. Any time you see this metallic hue it captivates your attention which is why you need to add it into your Thanksgiving decorating mix. Even the smallest amount of gold to your table will be just enough to set the stage of sophistication.

Turn up the crystal

Dahling, everybody needs some crystal in their homes and if you don’t want to spend a small fortune, faux crystal will do. These candleholders will cast a beautiful glow.

Crystal Lotus Candlelight Collection, ZGallerie $12-$40

All that shimmers

If this looks like something Mariah Carey would keep in her home then we know we’re on the right track to styling a glam table. A little shimmer and glitter can go a long way.

Glitter Tart & Pie Server, LEIF $23

Charge it up

One easy way to step your game up in the style department is by adding chargers to your table. Even if you plan to use simple white plates, a good charger can make such an elegant statement.

Place cards

Be a fabulous host by letting your guests feel welcome. Take that extra step with place cards for a personal touch.

Gorgeous centerpiece

Some of the most memorable parties all have one thing in common and that’s a gorgeous centerpiece. Now, you can go all out with bouquets of large blooms or use a couple pieces with other items for something more tailored–it’s up to you. Just make sure your centerpiece doesn’t get in the way so much that you’re unable to have conversation with your guests.

Personal touch
If you really want to add something glamorous, add a personal touch, one that’s unique to you. I for one love perfume bottles and how the look when collected. One idea for a table centerpiece is to display them on a tray or cake stand for guests to see. Sure it’s no turkey leg but does score points in the creativity department.
