First Look At Le’Andria Johnson In “Preachers Of Atlanta”: “I Pass Out Cigarettes And Condoms” [Watch]
Oxygen recently unveiled the cast of their “Preachers of Atlanta” spinoff series, and we were surprised to see that “Sunday’s Best” winner Le’Andria Johnson was a part of the show’s starting lineup.
Johnson, a Grammy award-winning recording artist who rose to gospel stardom after winning BET’s “Sunday’s Best” competition, has developed a controversial reputation in the Christian community. It’s likely that her participating in the series will only add to that.
In a newly released teaser, Johnson admits to going out into the community to provide residents with cigarettes and condoms.
“I take it to the streets. I pass out cigarettes and condoms,” she boasts in the two-minute clip. “I do all that. But at the end of the day, when God tells me to do something, I do it.”
Johnson’s cast members include preacher and gospel recording artist Canton Jones, Pastor Corey Hambrick, Pastor Kimberly Jones-Pothier, and Pastor Judah Swilley.
“Preachers of Atlanta” is set to premiere on Oxygen Wednesday, February 3 at 10 p.m. ET.
