A Florida man is facing criminal charges, and his 18-year-old companion is dead, after a session of role play that went horribly wrong. According to HLN, Tyrone Fields, 21, and Christina Meagher were preparing to have sex when his gun accidentally went off, shooting Meagher in the head.
Fields and Meagher met only two days before the November 7 shooting, which occurred inside of a Florida hotel room. He told police that the victim “put his gun to her head as part of what he described to be a role-play scenario while they were engaged in sexual activity.” Fields said that they were not actually having intercourse when the gun went off, but stated that they were preparing to do so. He told cops that he removed the magazine from the gun but somehow forgot to remove the single bullet that was in the gun’s chamber. Fields intentionally pulled the trigger as a part of their role play activity, the gun discharged and the bullet struck the victim in the head.
He called 911 for help and stated that a woman was suffering from a gunshot wound. Meagher was transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital where she later died from her injury.
According to investigators, Fields “maintained that he had not intentionally shot the victim and that it was an accident.” And theGrio is reporting that a sexual battery examination showed no signs of injuries consistent with abuse.
Fields was booked at the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with manslaughter. He was held on $30,000 bond.
