Pregnant Woman Finishes Psych Exam During Active Labor

- By

If you ever gave a professor a sob story about why you couldn’t complete an exam, just know if Tommitrise Collins could complete her test, so could you.

Four days ago, Tommitrise was sitting in a hospital bed about to have a baby — and about to take an exam, according to her big sister, Shanell Brinkley-Chapman. Shanell posted the pic above on Facebook with the caption:

This is what you call “Strong Priorities”. Contractions 3 minutes apart and still takes her Psychology Test! You are going to be a great Mom baby sis!

I don’t think there’s a mother alive who’d argue with that and the 14,000 shares this post have received so far confirm as much.

According to Tommitrise’s Facebook page, she’s a student at the University of Texas at El Paso and from the update below it appears she not only finished her exam but also had a successful labor, delivering a baby boy named Tyler Elise.

What makes the news even sweeter is Tyler was born on big sis Shanell’s wedding anniversary. We have a feeling this little has a bright future ahead. Congrats to Tommitrise!
