Google Rolling Out New Social Network

June 29, 2011  |

If constant changes to Facebook’s appearance and trifling hashtags on Twitter aren’t exciting to you anymore, you may be in luck. There’s a new social network site to get addicted to coming soon thanks to tech giant Google. Its new social network project, Google+, will let users share information, photos and more with a select group of people only. That way, if you’re looking to share something with a few friends, your whole network won’t get to see it or hear about it on their home page.

Google+ will also allow users to video chat in groups, and depending on your stated interests, will provide you with videos and articles that update and provide you with information and media you might be interested in. Google is currently doing a trial with the help of a few, select participants, but is allowing people to sign up on the site to be notified once everything is ready to be rolled out.

Do you think you could ever leave behind Facebook for another social networking site?
