Are Removable Cornrow Caps The Answer To Damage Caused By Sew-In Weaves?

September 24, 2015  |

As many ladies who utilize hair extensions have learned, sew-in weaves can be the gift and the curse. If installed with care, they can serve as stylish protective hairdos that allow your natural hair to flourish. Unfortunately, if they are installed incorrectly or are not properly cared for, sew-ins can have adverse effects that rob you of both your edges and your healthy hair. The Vivica Fox Hair Collection, however, will soon be offering a solution to this widespread problem.

This month, the hair company announced plans for a new product called a cornrow cap. In short, the removable cap comes with preinstalled cornrows that will allow stylists to attach extensions to them. The caps, which were originally designed for cancer patients, will come in two different cornrow patterns: horseshoe and straight-back. They will be available in sizes small, medium and large.

Representatives from VFHC say that the company has already patented the caps, and that they will be available at local beauty supply stores as early as mid-November.
