Black&Sexy TV is heading to BET!
Thursday, executives from Black Entertainment Television announced their new partnership with the entertainment and lifestyle network.
“We noticed Black&Sexy TV has a dedicated fanbase, and their fans’ obsession for this content mirrors the obsession our audience has for BET and our content,” said Pete Danielsen, BET’s Executive Vice President of Program Planning, Scheduling and Acquisitions.
According to Variety, the partnership includes a three-series deal through which the cable channel will air three of Black&Sexy’s most popular web series. BET will kick off the partnership on Wednesday, September 16 with a showing of “RoomieLoverFriends,” starring Shayla Hale and Andra Fuller. The series will air as four hour-long episodes over consecutive weeks beginning tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT.
Also joining the BET family is “Hello Cupid,” which follows two best friends and their dating mishaps after one uses the other’s photo for her online dating profile. “Sexless,” a series about a group of friends as they attempt to find meaningful relationships while taking sex out of the equation, will also air on the network.
As a self-proclaimed Black&Sexy groupie, I have to admit that I’m slightly disappointed about “That Guy” not being a part of the deal, but you have to start somewhere, right? Perhaps, the series will be next in line if all goes well with this new partnership.
Currently, Black&Sexy TV provides a $7 per month VOD subscription service, which offers access to all of their original programming. Episodes can also be found on their YouTube channel.
