Longtime reality TV fans may or may not be pleased to know that Tiffany “Miss New York” Pollard and her mother, Michelle Rothschild-Patterson, will be returning to VH1.
Tuesday, the cable network announced that the mother-and-daughter duo will be tasked with sorting through their problems in a new series titled “VH1 Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn,” a spin-off of the popular “Couples Therapy” show.
“‘VH1 Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn’ hopes to shed a little light on the complicated and often misunderstood world of celebrity families who still have to grapple with universal issues – but under a microscope.”
The announcement continues:
“In the brand new series, each family is facing complex issues- from not successfully handling the spotlight to harmless sibling banter becoming tabloid fodder to messy divorce proceedings playing out on the national stage.”
Joining Tiffany and Michelle will be Damon Dash and his brothers, Jeremy and Bobby Dash, Dina and Michael Lohan, Bam and April Margera, Briana and Brittany Dejesus. Over the course of three weeks, the families will undergo intensive therapy.
“The participants will participate in group and individual therapy along with relationship exercises out in the ‘real world’ to see if they can rebuild their relationships — or if it’s simply time for them to move on,” the press release explains.
It’s been seven years since “I Love New York” went off of the air, and only God knows what Michelle and Tiffany’s relationship has been like since then, but we’re certainly looking forward to finding out. “Family Therapy” is slated to air in early 2016.
