7 Reasons To Watch the New Documentary “Foster Care Film”

There are more than 400,000 kids in foster care in America. That’s a staggering number of youth to be held in third party care, but even more staggering are the misconceptions of why these children end up there. The new film project, Foster Care Film by Emmy-nominated director Yasmin Mistry aims to take on those misconceptions and educate the community on the Foster Care experience. As a former foster youth (foster care alumni) I was honored to be the subject of her first documentary short – Feeling Wanted and inspire others to learn more about foster care.
