E.B. (Erin Bria) Wright, daughter of the late and great Eazy-E, made sure to see the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, like many others did over the weekend.
The highly-anticipated F. Gary Gray directed film has received lots of praise and a bit of backlash for not including some notable matters in its 147 running minutes. Wright, who was only 4 years old when her father passed away, shared her reactions to the film. Notably, she connected to Jason Mitchell’s on-screen depiction of her father, “He did a phenomenal job,” she told NBC. “I’m so incredibly proud. All my life I’ve been hearing these stories. Jason is everything I imagined [my father] to be … I really felt like I was watching him on the screen.”
Wright also shared her reactions via Twitter, further explaining that while she thoroughly enjoyed the film, there were pivotal parts of Eazy’s life that weren’t included in the storyline. She also revealed that she would be producing her own documentary about her late father.
