Seriously, How Cool Is Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”-Themed Wax Figure?
To say that I’ve never cared for wax figures would be an understatement. For some reason, life-like sculptures of my favorite celebrities never tickled my fancy. With that said, I must admit that I was thoroughly impressed by Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”-themed wax display. The artists over at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas have truly outdone themselves.
The jaw-dropping display was unveiled Tuesday in the wax museum’s Music Room, where it will remain permanently.
According to representatives for the museum, more than 20 artists collaborated on the exhibit, which took approximately six months to create and was based on “over 300 precise body measurements.”
“Guests have been consistently asking us to make her figure. As her music continues to grow in popularity, so does her larger-than-life persona and we wanted to capture that essence by creating the type of Madame Tussauds figure guests will find only in a city like Las Vegas,” says Cole Kouvaris, marketing manager, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas.
Of course, I’m not the only one is who was wowed by the remarkable exhibit. Nicki, who was apparently unaware that the display was being unveiled, expressed both shock and admiration over the fascinating work of art.
“YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!??!?? Had no idea they were really doing this,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “I would’ve went to Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda Madam Tussauds Wax Figure- whoever did this.”
“They had the dancers ready and everything,” she continued. “So iconic. Thank u.”
