There’s always a special spark when two artists make love and art together. While the unions may not always last, the music lives on forever. Popular music is at its best when couples collaborate. Check out 15 artists who put their boos on the track and made beautiful (or at least decent) music together.

Nelly & Ashanti

Their union only barely outlasted the popularity of Apple Bottom jeans. But they did leave us with a hot track: “Body on Me.” A track featuring Akon and a video filled with memories of their coupledom.

Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj

Meek dropped the visual for the banger, “All Eyes on You” featuring his Queen Barb in the biggest PR week of his career. While Drake may have ethered him on two diss tracks this week alone, Meek wins in the end as he has the baddest woman in the rap game by his side.

Beyoncé & Jay Z

The Carters have put out some of their best music together. Rumors of a Bey and Jay collaborative album are at peak levels. While we wait for the rumored collab, we can enjoy all of the hits they’ve already blessed us with, including “Drunk in Love.” It’s their sexiest banger to date.

Rihanna & Chris Brown

The ill-fated couple worked on a couple of songs during their tumultuous on-again, off-again courtship. “Nobody’s Business” was featured on Rihanna’s 2012 Unapologetic album. The song sounds like an early ’90s pop and R&B throwback, but definitely has millennial IDAGF swagger that only these two bad a**es could give us.

Marc Anthony & Jennifer Lopez

Their union produced two beautiful babies and great ballads. Their Spanish-language song, “No Mes Ames” is the best of the couple’s collaborations.

Rihanna & Drake

While their on-again, off-again flings are always brief, they resulted in one of the biggest songs of 2010. The playful and s*xy “What’s My Name” was only bested by a video featuring Drake at his absolute thirstiest.

Whitney Houston & Bobby Brown

The world was never really here for the union of Bobby and Whitney, but the couple had no cares whatsoever about the public’s opinion. They were in love. In 1993, they released “Something in Common” to showcase that love to the world. The song was a hit and really gave people something to talk about.

Ariana Grande & Big Sean

Their relationship was short but it did produce some hits, the biggest of which was “Best Mistake.” Though the lyrics about the fickleness of relationships were a bit of a downer, the groove was sexy and a good look for both artists.

Ciara & Bow Wow

Poor Ciara gets all kinds of flack for her time with Bow Wow, but at the very least, their union gave us the cute little banger, “Like You.” While they’ve both since moved on, there’s no denying that the song is still nice.

Lil Wayne & Christina Milian

“Mama, I’m in love with a hot girl and they just don’t get it” are the opening lyrics to this oddly sweet ode to ride-or-die love from Weezy. Rumors have been circulating about their coupledom since they performed this track at the AMAs in late 2014. But this past May, Milian put the rumors to rest and confirmed that the two are indeed dating.

Mary J. Blige & K-Ci

Mary J. Blige and K-Ci, formerly of Jodeci, were the most talented couple back in the early ’90s. There was no way this pair wasn’t going to make a jamming track. “I Don’t Want To Do Anything” was one of the hottest songs on Blige’s debut album, What’s the 411?

Janet Jackson & Jermaine Dupri

The “Someone to Call My Lover” remix was slept on, but it was definitely a sexy song.

Erykah Badu & Common

When Badu put Common on the track, there was no doubt it was going to be something beautiful. “Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)” is easily one of Badu’s biggest hits and the video features the hottest freestyles ever.

Brandy & Wanya Morris

Their relationship was shrouded in secrecy due to Brandy being underage when they began dating, but their collaboration on the “Brokenhearted” remix was a huge hit for both singers. They broke up when Morris fell in love with another woman, which led to Brandy creating the smash album, Never Say Never.

Kelis & Nas

The gorgeous former married couple released a few tracks together during their union and “Blindfold Me” is easily the sexiest track on both of their discographies.
