After months at a treatment facility following a suspicious incident in January, Bobbi Kristina Brown has died.
The Houston family shared the sad news via a statement from their rep to People which read:
“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
On January 31, 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a bathtub in her Roswell, GA, home. For the past six months she had been kept on life-support, yet never regained consciousness. In March, the family moved the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown to a long-term care facility and in June Bobbi was transferred to Hospice, though the Houston and Brown families were still hopeful of a possible recovery. In that same month, the family filed a $10 million civil lawsuit against Bobbi Kristina’s partner, Nick Gordon, accusing him of physically abusing Bobbi and stealing money from her. At the time a statement from the family said “We pray that justice will be done for her and that it will be swift.” We’re sure they’re praying that prayer even stronger tonight. Our thoughts are with them all.
