On January 24th legendary R&B singer Dionne Warwick had a fall in the shower in her South Orange, N.J., home. She has been released after almost two weeks in the hospital. According to CBS Los Angeles the 74-year-old singer had ankle surgery while there and is expected to make a full recovery. Dionne and Whitney Houston are cousins and her fall came a week before Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina was found face down in her bathtub in her house. Bobbi is in the hospital with family by her side and her father, Bobby Brown released this statement on Wednesday: “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

We’re told the slip and fall occurred January 24th. Dionne was at her home in South Orange, New Jersey January 24 when she fell.
She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she underwent ankle surgery and was released Thursday.
The timing is remarkable. The 911 call for Dionne came in at 10:19 AM on Saturday, January 24th. The 911 call for Bobbi Kristina came in exactly a week later, at 10:25 AM on Saturday, January 31st.
Dionne is a legend and a superstar who sang in a gospel group before her early hits like “Walk On By” and “I Say a Little Prayer.” Her album Dionne (1979) sold a million copies and then she went on to release the albums Heartbreaker and How Many Times Can We Say Goodbye? She celebrated her 50th anniversary in the music business with the album Now and has millions of fans all over the world.
