Fashionista Fix: 8 Stunning Go-To Holiday Looks

December 12, 2014  |

Lights are twinkling, and there is a chill in the air mixed with an atmosphere of excitement and revelry as the holiday season gets officially underway. No doubt, your mailbox and inbox are filling up with cards of well wishes for the season as well as plenty of party invites. When it comes to the latter, this one of my favorite seasons for style. Holiday style is deeply rooted in the glitter, sparkle, shine of it all and there is no better time to rock your sequins and metallic. The thought of all those reasons to dress up a bit are beginning to get us excited and perhaps a little crazy as visions of stylish outfits dance in our heads. Oh the options are aplenty, enough to get a little overwhelmed. How much is too much for the office party? What to wear to (Insert fabulous / or cringe worthy occasion here)?

We’ve curated a few outfits to inspire you to hit your closet with renewed zest or hit the stores with your hard earned cash.  No matter how you play it, we’ve got ensembles for every possible party. From your in-laws annual bash, to the company shindig, the PTA party and hanging out with your friends there is an inspired look for wherever your invite may take you.

Dresses are an obvious choice as they are relatively easy to style and are basically your key outfit element. The trick is to keep it fresh each season/occasion by adding accessories that play up whatever vibe you want to evoke. Pairing a fit and flare A-line dress with ankle boots gives a funky edge to a classic holiday dress color and style. Choosing unexpected pairing like slim fitting tuxedo pants and a sequin top are perfect when you’re not sure of the dress code but still want to shine bright like the diamond you are.  Oh and don’t forget the accessories! Just because you’re wearing sequins doesn’t mean you can’t bling things out a little more! Tis the season to sparkle!
