Throwback Thursday: Best Black Power Films to Incite Change

It’s always been tough being Black in America. For whatever is perceived as progress, we are reminded how much a system doesn’t seem to work in our favor. America has seen grand juries fail to indict police officers guilty of murder and much more injustice.  Sometimes, we feel like we don’t matter. The system that is supposed to protect and serve kills in cold blood and the practices to administer justice are manipulated.

In spite of it all, we are a people of action. Many have protested in the streets and others have in ways such as boycotting during the biggest spending weekend. This week’s list for Throwback Thursday will be dedicated to movies revolving around activism in hopes that they give hope and may even inspire action.
