Say what you want about Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade but they sure know how to have a great time. After Wade’s win against the New York Knicks on Sunday, Gabby video bombed his post-game interview giving her opinion of his skills and saying he “did good for an old geezer.” Although D. Wade looked awfully embarrassed, it’s clear that this is the type of fun they always have together. So, what can we learn about love from the couple critics love to hate?

Lighten up and laugh a little

No matter how embarrassed he may have been, D. Wade laughed it off and even made a joke about coming on the set of her movies. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together and what you’ve gone through, you have to be able to laugh together. After all, laughter calms the spirit and being light-hearted makes life a little less stressful.

What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained…

Regardless of what the world thinks of their relationship, D. Wade and Gabby seem to have an understanding and appreciation for one another. There will always be ups and downs, but if you can remember that friendship is the foundation of any relationship you can make it last!

Always support your spouse

Without a doubt, Gabby is down for D. Wade. She’s ALWAYS supporting him courtside yelling at the opponent and cheering for her man. Even in his indiscretions, she stood in support of him. Maybe Gabby has something a lot of women have lost, that stick-to-itness that our great grandmother’s had. It’s funny that people say we don’t work through our issues anymore, we just call it quits. But when Gabby stands by her man, we have an issue with that too.

So, what’s the #1 love lesson learned? Your love only needs your approval….

Don’t get lost in living for others! Your one and only requirement for love is that it makes your life happier. You are the writer of your love story, make sure your script makes your spirit smile.
