As usual, Black Twitter has been going all the way in. From pop culture to the latest world events, Twitter has been abuzz with hilarious memes, poignant questions, and comments that will certainly make you go hmmm.

In case you haven’t been able to keep up with the tweets, here’s what Twitter’s been talking about lately.

Governor Jay Nixon Declares a State of Emergency in Ferguson

While folks in Ferguson eagerly await the grand jury’s decision about whether or not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for killing Michael Brown, Gov. Jay Nixon declared a State of Emergency, citing safety concerns. “Regardless of the outcomes of the federal and state criminal investigations, there is the possibility of expanded unrest,” Nixon said. “The state of Missouri will be prepared to appropriately respond to any reaction to these announcements.”

Many have accused the governor of agitating the situation and stoking tensions, but the governor said he just wants to keep everyone safe. Of course, Twitter users had their say.
