December 17, 2014  |

If you are in search of Afro-infused fashion look no further than the Cameroon inspired line Kibonen NY. Kibonen is a heavy-hitter in the fashion world having received the 2013 Designer of the Year  bestowed by the Cameroon Academy Awards as well as being selected by Africa Fashion International as a nominee for the 2013 Emerging Designer of the Year Award. A year after her accolades, founder Kibonen Nfi is still going strong creating stunning looks from tribal prints to classic cut dresses.

Nfi prides herself in sustainable fashion and is not just looking to dress you in the latest Cameroonian designs but also create jobs for those who need them most. In an interview with iRepCamer, Kibonen shared her desire to not just be an amazing designer, but a philanthropist through her work.

“It really feels good when we do what we love and at the same time helping people improve the quality of their lives and adding in the little way we can to make the world a better place. Thats why it just had to be a sustainable business. I belong to a non profit organization http://www.jci.cc and I just love the impact it has on communities. I have learnt that the importance of helping the community makes us become who we are,” said Nfi.

This is just one of the many reasons we love this up-and-coming designer.
