Take a rest from work and read up on the news that made headlines this week in the Coffee Break October 2 Edition!

Not all women all well endowed in the back area and many rather stay natural than go the butt-injected, butt-padded route (smart move, naturalistas!) But we all do want a nice booty, right? An article by Cosmopolitan, with the help of pro-level international fitness model Lyzabeth Lopez, give us just what we need: a workout that can be done at the gym or at home that claims to give us the sexiest, roundest booty ever. We like the way that sounds! Some of their suggestions include heel raises and jump squats but they also go into in-depth explanations as to what can add extra resistance (like adding ankle weights, for example) to each individual exercise and provide a little more fierce-ness to your rear-ness. Get to it, ladies!

For those of our followers that are faithful MTV “The Challenge” viewers, much like we at Mommynoire are, and have loved the relationship between participants Chris “CT” Tamburello and Diem Brown as much as we have (minus the time they broke up and weren’t being very nice to each other), this picture is going to melt your heart. Diem, who was public with her battle with cancer (she’s beat ovarian cancer twice before) while on the show, has unfortunately been diagnosed with colon cancer now and CT has been right by her side, as depicted in a photo CT posted on his Instagram page. In the flick, a sleeping CT is clutching Diem’s hand, the latter who is also resting in her hospital bed, wearing hospital garb and with a tube connected to her nose. The image is both heartbreaking and beautiful, as it shows the strong bond these two have, regardless of their amorous status. “Sometimes just being there for someone can be the difference between a good and a bad day. @diembrown could definitely use a few… Please go to her support page: #medgift,” CT wrote as a caption to the photo. Prayers up for Diem.

Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was sentenced to death for the 1981 murder of a police officer and became one of the most famous death row inmates (he is no longer on death row and many believe he was wrongly accused), has been selected as the commencement speaker by the fall 2014 graduating class of Vermont College and the news is causing much controversy. Critics have taken to social media to denounce the decision by the liberal arts college, posting comments like “He should be dead” and “a slap in the face to every citizen and every law officer who risk their life for creeps like this… if the students have… any ounce of decency they will walk out.” Meanwhile, Vermont College is defending its decision, writing: “As a reflection of Goddard’s individualized and transformational educational model, our commencements are intimate affairs where each student serves as her or his own valedictorian, and each class chooses its own speaker,” said Goddard College Interim President Bob Kenny, according to the NBC Philadelphia website. “Choosing Mumia as their commencement speaker, to me, shows how this newest group of Goddard graduates expresses their freedom to engage and think radically and critically in a world that often sets up barriers to do just that.” Abu-Jamal is said to give his remarks by way of a pre-recorded speech and will be played along a short video from filmmaker Stephen Vittoria (Vittoria released a documentary on Abu-Jamal titled “Long Distance Revolutionary: A Journey With Mumia Abu-Jamal” in 2012. The commencement ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 5 at the Haybarn Theater at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont at 4pm. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comment section.

After searching for his daughter for 12 years, a Texas man named Greg Allen has finally found his daughter. The now teenager, named Sabrina Allen, has been living in Mexico with her 44-year-old mother, who abducted her back then during a custody visit. Apparently, Sabrina isn’t in the best mental state, as her mom has reportedly brainwashed her into thinking her dad is a bad man, although he says he’s spent a large chunk of his years searching for his baby. Now, he’s just happy to have her home. “I’m going to ask her if I can give her a hug,” he told news reporters during a press conference with tears in his eyes. This is super scary, but what a happy ending to this tragic story!

For all of those still trying to figure out what broke up what appeared to be a happy marriage between Amber Rose and rapper Wiz Khalifa, Peter Rosenberg from NYC’s Hot 97 radio station seems to have the answer. According to the radio jock, who is reportedly a close friend of Rose’s, Amber walked in on Wiz Khalifa having sex with a set of identical twins. “Amber walked in on [the rapper] with two women at the same time – twins, twin sisters, twin biological sisters,” Rosenberg said during an on-air segment on Tuesday. The radio DJ also added that Amber Rose and Khalifa were going through some marital turmoil in their relationship, but that Amber was committed to working through those issues, saying she’d even gone as far as talking to Rosenberg’s wife about the problems in her relationship. “I believe from my relationship with Amber, that she knew they had problems, she knew he wasn’t happy – she wasn’t happy either – but she was also like, ‘He’s touring, he’s going through a lot, and at some point we’re going to work on this again’… it’s a marriage,” Rosenberg said. Amber filed for divorce on September 24, citing irreconcilable differences. She took to Twitter the next day to defend herself from accusations she had been unfaithful, reportedly with new manager Nick Cannon.

Most women have used a facial mask in the past: you slather it on evenly on your face, let it dry, let it sit for about 20 minutes, and then wash it off feeling brand new for at least the following hour. But now the new hype is overnight mask, which works exactly as explained above except you leave it on from bedtime till the time you wake up. It this overkill? Or does it really have added benefits? Yahoo Beauty writer Kristin Booker asked Dr. Sung Jae Jung, Chief Dermatologist at Dr. Jart’s, and here’s what he had to say. “A sleeping mask is an essential Korean beauty ritual,” says Dr. Jung. “It creates a protective veil over skin, turning ‘beauty sleep’ into restorative action. It boosts hydration, strengthens the look of elasticity, locks in nutrients while you sleep, and enhances the power of your skincare regimen.” And while everyday masks are timed, thus providing limited health perks, overnight masks function more as an entire treatment. “A non-washable sleeping mask supplies moisture continuously while sleeping, forming a protective layer on the skin. It prevents roughness and dehydration by replenishing moisture and vitality,” says Dr. Jung. “It also provides anti-aging and lifting effects while refining skin surface moisture.” We are sold!
