Throwback Thursday: 10 “Good-Bad” Movies We Love

Vampire in Brooklyn

Vampire in Brooklyn.  The title says that this is a horrible movie.  Almost everything Eddie Murphy did after Boomerang up until The Nutty Professor seemed like a money grab.  Even though it was directed by horror movie legend Wes Craven, it was primarily written by Eddie Murphy himself.  For some reason people love it, though.  I like this movie and can’t really explain why.  Just an observation: this may be the only movie I can recall in which Angela Bassett doesn’t cry in it.  The charm: Eddie Murphy-who is great with impersonations-and his horrible Caribbean accent.  He should have used the one he did in Raw.
