Throwback Thursday: 10 “Good-Bad” Movies We Love

- By

Two hair dressers from Decatur, GA fly have a dream of opening up a salon that doubles as a soul food spot.  To pursue said aspiration, they fly to Los Angeles to audition for a Heavy D music video.  They wind up winning the roles of a lifetime: pretending to be the decedents of a dying billionaire’s long lost black love, Lilly and hilarity ensues.  Hipping the white butler up to hip hop music and a love subplot that revolves around their boyfriends having a luxury cab service that you can page at anytime.  Sure they were the pots calling the kettle black in 1996; but they’d be billionaires because Uber took their idea and ran with it.  The charm: usually straight laced and dramatic Halle Berry acting a fool was a breath of fresh air.
