Dudes Love Denim: 10 Denim Brands To Rock

August 4, 2014  |

They say denim bear the signs of your life… If you know a little bit of history in regards to denim you will understand exactly what that means. Men’s jeans were traditionally the uniform for manual labor so denim was crafted to be comfortable but durable at the same time. Back in those days only men wore denim since they were the only ones allowed to work.

World War II changed that though and while all the men went off to fight, women had their place in the workforce giving them the green light to wear jeans for the very first time.

Jeans also had a stigma attached to them. In the 50’s you were considered a bad boy or a rebel if denim was a part of your ensemble. Jeans played a major part in the hippie movement of the 1960’s as well and were considered “anti-fashion.”
These days, regardless of race, class, sex and financial status, everyone owns a pair of denim.
