Destiny’s Child Reunite For Michelle Williams Song ‘Say Yes’
We’ve been hearing about Michelle Williams and her new song “Say Yes” featuring Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland for a few weeks now, and the video which debuted this morning on “Good Morning America” doesn’t disappoint.
The African inspirational track is uptempo and it’s good to see Michelle having some fun. The clip begins with Michelle in boyfriend jeans, a cute top and purple pumps, singing in the streets. Later she’s in the woods wearing an all white. For the second verse, Beyonce comes in rocking those long braids we saw her in recently. She wearing flowing white fabric with cut-off jeans underneath, and a few gold statement necklaces. During her verse, Miss Kelly is rocking a cropped sweater, but we barely get a peek at the rest of her outfit (must have been hiding early signs of that baby bump!) but we do get a glimpse of her very high-waisted maxi skirt. Clever, clever.
For the end of the video the three ladies are all together doing a few choreographed steps.
While on set, Michelle says: “I’m so excited that I have my sisters here with me spreading a positive message for the world. We’re still loving each other and supporting each other and they have no idea what it means to me. I think it’s full circle and we’re still rocking it out.”
Beyoncé says: “This so is so inspiring and there’s not enough music out there like this and I’m proud to be a part of it.” Kelly agreed: “It’s so infectious and I think the world needs to hear it.”
“Say Yes” is from Williams’ upcoming album, “Journey to Freedom,” due Sept. 9.
She stars as a mentor starring on the upcoming Oxygen network series “Fix My Choir,” and has collaborated with gospel music legend Shirley Caesar and contemporary gospel icons Mary Mary.
