Love Lesson: What is Vagina Power?

We’re in for a treat. Outspoken web personality Alexyss K. Tylor joins us to share her Vagina Power wisdom. After all, isn’t V-Power what you think of when you hear her name?

We’re beginning a new year with new energy so this conversation is right on time. A couple of months ago, Alexyss joined us to share her heartfelt advice about loving an incarcerated child. Today, she’s back with more lessons from the soul. For the unfamiliar, Alexyss K. Tylor is an author, YouTube star, entrepreneur and mother. A survivor of emotional abuse at the hands of her mother, Alexyss learned to overcome the shame and feelings of worthless she got after her mother told her, at age 9, she was a product of rape. After her own healing through Vagina Power, Alexyss brought her gifts to others. Our guest teacher today is also a business woman who created a viral brand for herself.

So, where did your knowledge of Vagina Power come from originally? You’ve been through so much. How did you get to a place where you could say “I can love myself”?

From being hurt so much.

Yes, but a lot of people stay in the hurt. You’ve dealt with depression but you’re able to know where the light is. A lot of people don’t even know where the light switch is to say, ‘There is power within me, power within my body.’

I mean, I didn’t know where the light was either all the time. I just had to have faith. I didn’t have anybody. I had was my higher self and my ancestors. And that made me grow more spiritual. So I have my altar set up–I talk to my ancestors, I reference them. I know I owe them because no matter what they went through. You know, the African ones, the Native American ones, they stayed alive long enough to get me here.

I owe it to them where I can’t give up. I know I have a mission and a purpose. Actually, I depend on my dead ancestors more than my live ancestors; other than my grandmother I don’t have any. And then I was responsible for [my son.] So, I had no choice, I just had to go within myself and I went more spiritual. I realized [there’s] more protection for me in truth than in lying.

Let’s do a Vagina Power lesson right now — for the women who find this is a new concept. A lot of teachers call it different things. In my speeches and coaching I say, “Goddess Power” or “Bombshell Power.” You say, “Vagina Power”, and sometimes we say it vice versa. Author and Pleasure Coach Mamma Gena says, “P*ssy Power.” Media icon Oprah Winfrey, says “Woman Power”. Everyone uses different terms but it’s the same basic concept. If somebody wants to tap into her Vagina Power, how would you recommend she do so?

For me, first, Vagina Power is not about physical sex and using your vagina to manipulate nobody or get a man or anything like that. Many people don’t consciously realize that they don’t know who they are and they don’t know what they are.

Ask somebody ‘who are you, what do you do’? They are going to talk about their money, about their education, who they know, where they work. I’m not talking about that.

That’s a projection of that false self and how you have to move and function in this matrix with the rules of this matrix that are an illusion. When you go back into that original self without a physical blueprint that has imprinted itself to move around in this matrix, that is the self.

Exactly. Powerful. Can you also speak to the power Vagina Power and of celibacy?
