We love a good deal just as much as anybody else but this father took it just too far. News4Jax in Florida reports 34-year-old Haider Hassan Khudhair Darwash was arrested after a trooper found his 2-month-old son locked in the car in a Best Buy parking lot at 5:30 pm on Thursday.

Troopers made an announcement in the Best Buy, but when no one came forward after 10 minutes, they broke the window and rescued the little boy. Right after, Darwash returned to the car and identified himself as the dad. When asked why the boy was in the car by himself, he said he thought his wife was with the boy. His wife was waiting in line at a nearby store.

Obviously, that’s not a good answer for the police, so Darwash was arrested on felony child neglect charges. It’s hard to see how this man was confused about where his child was. A lot of people have a hard time leaving their babies unattended for five minutes in the house, so this sounds so crazy to us.
