Hello, my fellow moms! Can we just take a moment to show each other some cyber love? Can you believe its November? Yes, the winter chill is creeping upon us.

Show of hands, how many of us were outside a few nights ago trick-or-treating with our little ones while freezing our buns? Right. Now, how many of us would’ve been a smidgen more comfortable with a little spiked cider in tow? Precisely! Now that the fall has finally settled into our psyches and we’re somewhat mentally prepared for the warm scarf and  sweater weather, why not add a little spice to our lives with these seasonal fun and festive  cocktails?

Since we’re in the spirit of giving, why not shave off a little recipe research and make it easy for each other by listing a few delicious, classic cocktail spin-offs for you to prepare and enjoy! We’ve compiled a list of 7 tasty and toasty cocktail recipes to keep Jack Frost at bay during these chilly days!

7 Tasty and Toasty Drinks For The Season

Bailey’s Apple Spice Martini

2 oz. Baileys Caramel Irish Cream
1 oz. Green Apple Flavored Vodka
2 slices green apple for garnish
2 teaspoons caramel (optional)


Mix Bailey’s Caramel Irish Creme and Vodka well in a martini shaker. If you’d like to make the cocktail sweeter, add the caramel to the spoon, a dollop to the bottom, or drizzle on the inside of the martini glass before adding mixture.

Rum Cinnamon Cider

6 oz. Apple Cider
2 1/2 oz. Spiced Rum
2 tbs. Cinnamon (for rim)
2 tbs. white or brown sugar (for rim)


Microwave or bring apple cider to boil. Take cider off the heat and add rum and let it steep. While the cider is cooling, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar onto a plate. Dip the rim of glass coffee mugs into warm water and then the cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat the rim of the glass. Add spike cider and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Warm Pumpkin Pie

2 oz Pumpkin Spice Kahlua
2 oz Vanilla or Whipped Cream Flavored Vodka
2 Tbsp Pumpkin Puree
3/4 – 1 cup Milk or Dairy Free Milk


Fill half of a martini shaker with ice and add Kahlua, Vodka and pumpkin puree. Shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds.  Note: the puree won’t look so appealing but once it’s shaken with the milk, liqueur, and ice, it will dissolve quite nicely. Pour into a rocks glass and garnish with shaved cinnamon.

Ginger Snap

2 oz. Whiskey of choice
6 oz. ginger ale
2 wedges of lime


Place a few cubes of ice or scotch rocks into a rocks glass and add whiskey. Pour Ginger Ale atop whiskey and garnish with a lime wedge or place a slice of shaved ginger into cocktail.

Crown Royal Flush

2.5  oz. Crown Royal Deluxe
1  oz. apple schnapps or apple flavored vodka
4  oz. cranberry juice
2-4 slices of apple


In a martini shaker, combine Crown Royal, Apple Schnapps or vodka and cranberry juice. Shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds and pour in rocks glasses over ice. Add apple slices for garnish.

Spicy Apple Cranberry Spritzer

4 oz. cranberry juice
3 oz. green apple flavored vodka
1 oz. club soda
1 oz. fresh lime juice
2-4 lime wedges

In a rocks glass pour cranberry juice, vodka, ice and lime juice over a few cubes of ice. Mix thoroughly and add club soda. Garnish with lime wedge.


Peppermint Surprise

3 oz. Kahlua Peppermint Mocha
2 oz. Disaronno Amaretto Liqueur
3 oz. Milk
Canned Whipped Cream
Candy Canes

In a martini shaker half full of ice, mix Kahlua, Amaretto milk. Shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds. Pour into coffee mug an top with desired amount of whipped cream. Add a dash of cinnamon and candy cane for garnish.
