“GODDESSGASM!™” with Tomiko Fraser Hines: In The Blink Of An Eye
As is my yearly routine, once autumn arrives, I switch out the clothes in my dresser drawers and closet. My summer clothes get stored until next year and I happily pull out my warmer clothing. I always love this time of year and can’t wait to start rocking my sweaters and boots. That is, until I had a realization regarding my boys. While I can pretty much guarantee that I will still fit my clothes for several years to come (barring a months-long free giveaway of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream), my sons will need new clothes every year. Every freakin’ year! What?!
How I am just realizing this? Why didn’t all of my friends who are already mothers warn me about this one? I mean, they warned me about the sleepless nights. They advised me on breastfeeding. They even assured me that my sex life would get back to normal (still waiting on that one…judge me all you want, I have infant twin boys and Mama is T to the I Erd). But not one of my dear friends told me that I’d be investing a not-so-small fortune in clothing and shoes for my children. And they call themselves friends. Hmph!
