Study Suggests New Dads Feel…Sexy?

Becoming a parent changes a lot for couples, but a new study suggests one of the good changes it brings is dads feeling sexy. The (very) small study, reported on MSN Living surveyed 182 newly married couples. Of the couples who had a child during the first year of marriage, the fathers found themselves feeling more attractive once the baby arrived.

The moms in the survey weren’t feeling so great in those early months, of course. After experiencing a lot of physical changes and stress, their appearance tended to be the last thing on their minds. But fathers experienced the opposite effect, though the researchers weren’t fully able to explain why. They suggest it may be because his evolutionary duty has been fulfilled once he has a child; it becomes more clear he’s the head of his household.

Dads, is there any truth at all to this study? How’d you feel right after having your first child?
