5. Avoid making parenting difficult for your partner because of your own anger.

The court system should be used to make boundaries clear when people are unable to co-parent amicably, not to prove a point or purposely make parenting difficult because of personal relationship issues. It’s sad, but I’ve seen so many men end up in prison over unnecessary domestic situations because of immature women who manipulate the system based on whatever mood hits them. If a child has two parents who want to be involved in his life, playing with the court system for your own selfish reasons hurts your child, not your co-parent.
