Get Up, Get Gorgeous & Get Going in 2 Minutes FLAT!

January 24, 2013  |

Forget the “5-minute Face”! Hit the flip to find out how you can look flawless in as little as two minutes (yes, 2!), regardless of your skin-type.

2:00     Start your morning beauty routine with cleansing cloths or mild exfoliating pads to gently smooth the skin while getting rid of dirt and makeup.

For dull, aging skin, or if you have a skin condition that’s associated with dryness, like eczema or rosacea, opt for sulfate-free, non-foaming cleansers that contain hydrating serums.

If you have skin that’s oily and/or acne prone, use oil free cleansing cloths or pads that contain salicylic or glycolic acid to keep pimples from rearing their ugly heads.

1:30     Time to moisturize! Regardless of your skin type, it’s important to choose moisturizers that contain sunscreen.

Formulas with glycerin and ceramides help lock in moisture for dry skin.

To reduce breakouts and unwanted shine, those with oily skin should look for oil free moisturizers.

If you have rosacea, opt for a light moisturizer that contains anti-inflammatory ingredients, like cucumber, green tea, or chamomile.

For aging skin, choose moisturizers that are made with lactic or peptic acid, pomegranate, and/or vitamin C.

1:15     Now that your skin is primed, it’s time to hide those imperfections. Dab a little concealer under the eyes and on any blemishes.

For more pimple fighting power, try a concealer that contains salicylic acid to stop zits before they reach the surface.

1:00    Apply foundation wherever you need it, or all over your face, then set with a loose powder to avoid shine.

But, if you want to save even more time, you can fore-go the foundation all together and use a tinted moisturizer after washing your face, then top with powder.

:45     Play up your best facial features with a little blush or bronzer for a hint of color on your cheekbones and eyes.

For dry or aging skin, opt for a gel or cream based blush over powders.

If you have oily, acne prone skin, use powder blushes or bronzers to keep unwanted shine at bay.

:30     Multi-task with the best of ’em by lengthening and curling your lashes in one simple step. How? Ditch the eyelash curler and
use a mascara formula that curls and lengthens.

:15     Complete the look with lip liner for long-lasting color at a great price. Just line the lips, fill them in, and blot until you get the exact shade you want.

:00    Step out the door looking and feeling fabulous, and ready to face the day!
