FLOTUS Fashion: Michelle Obama’s Not So Conventional Look!

September 10, 2012  |

They may hail to the chief, but everyone’s been flipping for the First Lady’s fashion during the Democratic National Convention. Want all the details on her not-so-conventional look? Read on.

Yes, Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention was exhilarating, tasteful, and inspiring. And so was her outfit!

For her big night, the FLOTUS showed some love for Detroit born designer, Tracy Reese, rocking a pink floral brocade dress with coordinating J. Crew Everly suede pumps in rhubarb.

Forget the campaign! Tracy Reese is bound to get a huge “convention bounce” as well.

This isn’t the first time that Mrs. Obama has gone with one of Reese’s designs. She’s been spotted in them on several occasions throughout the last four years, including the May cover of Ebony magazine.

“In the midst of spring 2013 preparations, seeing the First Lady in one of my designs was a truly extraordinary moment,” Reese gushed. “She evokes so much confidence, strength and humility. I am so proud she chose to wear our dress!”

To top off her look, Obama accessorized with a pair of Kimberly McDonald diamond and moonstone earrings.

And the nails?

In case you were wondering (like us!), according to MSNBC, the polish that the First Lady was sporting was Artistic Colour Gloss Soak Off Gel in Vogue.
