McDonald’s has come under fire over the years for a multitude of incidents but this time it is the Happy Meal toys that are getting them into trouble. The little Minions are using language that offends some McDonald’s customers – curse words.

Or at least that’s what they think they’re saying.

On July 3, the fast-food chain released a new Happy Meal toy in conjunction with the movie Minions. Afterwards, they began receiving complaints that the noises coming from the small action figures were swear words. McDonald’s denies that its talking Minions are doing such a thing.

Based out of Oak Park, IL the company did not take the complaints lightly and decided to put out an official statement saying that the sounds the toys are making are of nothing offensive or profane. They are actually nonsense words.

Minions a prequel to the highly popular Despicable Me will be in theaters this Friday.
