4. Establish Any House Rules Early

Does your host expect you to cook your own meals? Does the host have children who have a certain bedtime and therefore requires you to be respectful of noise levels? Are you expecting to have use of your host’s vehicle? Ask your host if there is anything s/he is expecting of you and if there are any house rules s/he’d like for you to follow. Establish this communication early so that there are no misunderstandings.
