2. Establish How Long You’ll Be There

Once you’ve been invited, be sure to let your host know upfront how long you’d like to stay. Find out what plans your host may have so that you can determine of your timeframe for a visit will interfere with anything she’s got going on. Again, your host may say “stay as long as you want!” – but it’s always good to have an end date in mind so that you and your host are on the same page and she can make plans to resume her life after your visit is over. It’s never cute to overstay your welcome. Don’t put your host in a position where s/he has to ASK you to leave.
