Memphitz Surrenders To Fulton County Police

Former music industry executive Mickey “MempHitz” Wright surrendered to the Fulton County Police Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The warrant stems from the Thursday incident in which Wright was accused of pulling out a gun on Johns Creek car wash employee Harold Huntley, who he believed stole marijuana from his vehicle. It also also alleged that he stormed away from the scene with Huntley’s cell phone.

“He comes back and is like, ‘You stole my weed, you stole my weed.’ I was like, ‘Nah, man,’ and then he pulled a gun out on me and was like, ‘It’s gonna be your life or it’s gonna be my weed,’” Huntley told reporters.

As previously reported, the frightening exchange was captured by car wash surveillance cameras. Wright was booked on charges of aggravated assault and armed robbery. As of Wednesday, the estranged husband of Toya Wright was being held without bond.
