On Fleek Or A Fail? Best And Worst Fashions From The 2015 BET Awards
Did you tune into Sunday night’s BET Awards? There were definitely some significant moments on the stage. But there were also some major moments on the red carpet. The ladies (and the gents) showed out in some bright and bold fashions. There were so many that it was hard to pick our favorite and least favorite, so we’re going to let you pick your favorites and share your thoughts. Who killed it and who should have gone back to the drawing board?
You know Monaé doesn’t stray too far away from black and white, but we are digging this caped look with the strappy sandals and killer fishtail braid.
Naturi Naughton & Nicki Minaj
The Power star’s look was created by Kyemah McEntyre, the young woman whose prom dress went viral. When speaking of McEntyre’s talents, Naughton had this to say. “We all started somewhere. She just graduated from high school, and I’m really proud of her.”
Nicki stepped out in a black lace number with her favorite accessory: Her man Meek Mill.
Zendaya, Brandy & Monica
These ladies stepped out in bold looks. And I know you see the striking hairdos! Are you feeling them from head to toe?
Joseline Hernandez, Ciara & Gabrielle Union
Sleek hair and ensembles that pop!
Laverne Cox, Amber Rose & Blac Chyna, And Karrueche Tran
Pants on pants on pants!
Kelly Rowland, Sevyn Streeter & Dej Loaf
Feathers, sheer ensembles, and popping pink!
Sanaa Lathan, Jazmine Sullivan, Eva Marcille, La La Anthony & Cassie
While some went for a more formal look, others kept it chill in playful party dresses. Which one is your favorite?
Lil Mama, Michelle Williams, Essence Atkins, Christina Milian, Angela Simmons & LeToya Luckett
The peek-a-boo trend was big on the red carpet. The ladies showed off a lot of skin and gave fierce face.
Raven Goodwin, Salli Richardson, Margaret Avery, Demetria McKinney & Mona Scott-Young
Many stars also stepped out in bright colors, shining just as bright as that LA sun!
MC Lyte, Demetria Lucas, B. Scott & Apryl Jones
Can you say legs for days? These ladies put the pins on display.
Chris Brown, Floyd Mayweather, Kendrick Lamar, Charlie Wilson & Michael B. Jordan
The fellas were also on fleek! A wide array of looks, but definitely colorful.
Boris Kodjoe (And Nicole Ari Parker), Big Sean, Jussie Smollett, Jidenna & Michael Ealy
While some were colorful, these fellas were dapper.
Deitrick Haddon, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Hosea Chanchez, Jay Ellis & Leon (and Noelle Robinson)
And these are the rest. While I’m not crazy about the prints (and the Miguel hair) Deitrick and Domonique Haddon have going on, the rest of these famous fellas looked pretty good. Don’t you agree?
