Johnson, who is carrying the child, announced the pregnancy on Instagram Thursday with an image of a bun in an oven.
“#SUCCESS #BLESSED #WelcomeToTheJohnsonGrinerFamily,” she captioned the photograph.
Of course, the newlyweds conceived using artificial insemination; however, the identity of the male donor has not been disclosed.
According to TMZ, a source is saying that the pair learned of Johnson’s pregnancy a few weeks ago. The source also insists that Johnson was not pregnant at the time of their domestic violence incident, which occurred back in April.
As you may recall, the athletes tied the knot on May 8, a few weeks after the violent altercation that landed them both behind bars and temporarily suspended by the WNBA. Johnson, who plays for the Tulsa Shock, is expected to sit out during the upcoming season due to her pregnancy. It is unclear how this will affect her 7-game suspension.
Hopefully, these two have worked through their issues so that they can raise their baby in a stable and safe environment.
