The mayor of Baltimore, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, took to Twitter early Sunday morning to announce the citywide curfew of 10 PM has been lifted. The curfew, was enforced in response to the rioting and looting that filled the city of Baltimore.
Many gathered to protest the death of Freddie Gray and the Baltimore Police Department. Mayor Rawlings came under fire last week after calling some of these protestors “thugs.” Tension was at an all time high throughout last week.
Now, things have begun to die down, due to Gray’s death being ruled a homicide and the six officers being charged. We’re happy to see our communities receiving the justice and peace, we truly need.
